Decent meals for children
It is a fact that in México many families don’t send their kids to schools due to economic problems, and many times they attend without having a decent meal or any meal at all, but not only in México, is happening in New Mexico as well.
The poverty rate in New Mexico is 19.7% ranked 49th, according to talkpoverty.org Getting the ranking of 49th out of 51 states is really alarming, being in the third place of poverty and the poverty rate of 27.0% on children. That is heartbreaking.
We know there are kids that attend to school without having a breakfast at home, the most important meal of the day, and later at school they don’t have money to get lunch neither. There are other organizations that provide lunches to them. Do you think you can contribute with some lunches for those kids?
